What Airbnb's fees actually add up to
Airbnb charges guests a service fee on top of the nightly rate and cleaning fee - by Airbnb's own help center, this is usually under 14% of your booking subtotal. Booking.com folds its commission into the rate the host sets rather than showing it to you separately, but it's there too, built into the number you see. Either way, that's money leaving your total for the platform, not for the stay itself.
